Hello

I am born and raised in the Bay Area and though I have lived here my entire life, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places and cultures with my family and friends. I attended San Francisco State University where I obtained my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and California State University, East Bay where I obtained my Master's in Social Work. I am the wife to my high school sweetheart, mother to a wonderful son, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority Incorporated.  Nevertheless, throughout life's many accomplishments and joys I too suffered from anxiety and depression and found myself needing additional support at different stages of my life. 

 

As an African American women, I pride myself on providing culturally sensitive services to the BIPOC population. I have had the pleasure of working within community mental health agencies, hospitals, outpatient medical clinics, prisons, and psychiatric hospitals with adults, youth, and families along their journey to obtaining equilibrium and reclaiming their sense of self. I take a holistic approach when working with my clients, as I understand that as life is complex, so are we as WHOLE beings.
